Who's actually responsible for what.
Savvy isn't a bank. It doesn't hold your money, issue cards, or offer credit — your money stays exactly where it already is, at your own bank. That's a deliberate design choice, not a limitation: Savvy's job is to see across every account you already have and act on your behalf, not to become another place your money lives.
Qwist handles the regulated banking connection
Qwist is a PSD2-regulated open banking provider, licensed for both account information (reading your transactions and balances) and payment initiation (executing a transfer you've authorised). That license, not Savvy's own infrastructure, is what makes the bank connection itself legally possible.
Savvy is the layer on top
Savvy reads what Qwist provides, turns it into a single financial picture, and — only with your explicit rule-based setup — asks Qwist to execute a payment on your behalf. Savvy never moves money outside that regulated pipeline.
