1. Acceptance of these terms

By creating a Savvy account, downloading the app, or visiting savvyagent.app, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

These terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Savvy. "Savvy", "we", "us", or "our" refers to the operator of the Savvy application and website.

2. The Savvy service

Savvy is a personal financial management application that connects to your bank accounts via PSD2-regulated open banking, analyses your transactions, and provides insights, automation, and tools to help you manage your money. This includes Payday Plan, Spend Insights, Ask Savvy, Subscription Vault, Savings Pots, Remittance rate comparison, Monthly Reports, and Freelancer Mode.

We provide this service on a best-effort basis. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature with reasonable notice.

3. Accounts and eligibility

To use Savvy, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Reside in a supported European country
  • Provide a valid email address
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@savvyagent.app if you suspect unauthorised access.

You may only create one account per person. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent limits or restrictions is not permitted.

4. Subscriptions and billing

4.1 Free plan

The free plan is available to all users indefinitely. It includes a subset of Savvy's features as described on our Pricing page.

4.2 Pro subscription

The Pro plan is €9.99 per month or €99 per year (inclusive of applicable VAT). Billing is via Apple In-App Purchase through the App Store. The Pro plan unlocks all Savvy features.

4.3 Cancellation

You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain full access until then. No refunds are issued for partial months. To cancel, manage your subscription via your Apple ID in the iOS Settings app.

4.4 Free trial

A 30-day free trial of Pro may be offered at launch. One trial per Apple ID. At the end of the trial period, your subscription will automatically renew at the standard rate unless cancelled before the trial ends.

4.5 Price changes

We will give at least 30 days' notice before changing the Pro subscription price. You may cancel before the change takes effect if you do not agree.

5. Beta period

Savvy is currently in private beta. During this period:

  • All users receive full Pro access at no charge
  • Features may be added, removed, or changed without prior notice
  • Service reliability is not guaranteed to the same standard as a production release
  • We may terminate beta access or the beta programme with 14 days' notice
  • Your feedback during this period is invaluable and may be used to improve the product

By using Savvy during beta, you acknowledge that you are testing pre-release software and that some features may not work as expected.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use Savvy for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable regulation
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the app
  • Use automated tools to scrape, copy, or extract data from Savvy
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of our systems or another user's account
  • Share your account credentials with others
  • Use Savvy to process data on behalf of third parties as a business service
  • Introduce malware, viruses, or other harmful code
  • Attempt to circumvent any billing, rate limiting, or security control

Violation of these terms may result in immediate account suspension or termination.

7. Bank connection and financial data

Savvy connects to your bank accounts via PSD2-regulated open banking providers. You authorise us to fetch transaction data and account information on your behalf for the purpose of providing the Savvy service.

This connection is read-only. Savvy cannot initiate payments or transfers from your account.

You may revoke this connection at any time in the app. Revoking access ends our ability to fetch new bank data. Previously fetched data remains in your Savvy account unless you delete it.

The accuracy of transaction data depends on what your bank provides via open banking. Savvy is not responsible for missing, delayed, or incorrect data returned by your bank or the open banking provider.

8. AI features and financial advice

Savvy's Ask Savvy feature uses AI to answer questions about your finances based on your transaction data. This feature is provided for informational purposes only.

Savvy does not provide regulated financial advice. Nothing in the app should be construed as investment advice, tax advice, or any other form of regulated financial guidance. Always consult a qualified financial professional for decisions with significant financial implications.

AI responses may occasionally be inaccurate or incomplete. Always verify important financial information from authoritative sources before acting on it.

9. Intellectual property

All content within the Savvy app and website — including but not limited to design, code, copy, brand assets, and feature concepts — is owned by Savvy and protected by applicable intellectual property law.

You retain full ownership of your personal data. By using Savvy, you grant us a limited licence to process your data for the purpose of providing the service, as described in our Privacy Policy.

You may not reproduce, copy, or distribute any part of the Savvy service without our express written permission.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Savvy's total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these terms or the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the claim.

Savvy is not liable for:

  • Financial decisions you make based on information shown in the app
  • Errors or delays in bank data provided by open banking providers
  • Service interruptions during the beta period
  • Indirect, consequential, incidental, or punitive damages
  • Loss of data resulting from events outside our control

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Termination

11.1 By you

You may delete your account at any time in the app under Settings. Deleting your account immediately terminates all access and initiates permanent deletion of your data within 30 days.

11.2 By us

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if we are required to do so by law. We will provide notice unless legally prohibited or where the breach is severe.

11.3 Effect of termination

On termination, your right to use the service ends immediately. Sections covering liability, intellectual property, and governing law survive termination.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of Savvy after that date constitutes acceptance of the new terms. If you do not agree, you may delete your account before the changes take effect.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Germany, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Germany, unless you are a consumer in another EU member state with mandatory local consumer protection rights.

If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
